About the Wine – Sciatone Chardonnay Sicilia DOC
The Sciatone Chardonnay is Caruso & Minini’s vibrant interpretation of one of the world’s most celebrated white grapes. This Sicilian Chardonnay captures the island’s sunny personality while retaining freshness and balance. In the glass, it reveals a bright straw-yellow hue with subtle green reflections. On the nose, it offers enticing aromas of ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, complemented by delicate notes of citrus, white flowers, and a faint hint of vanilla from oak contact. The palate is full and rounded, with a silky texture, refreshing acidity, and a lingering, mineral-driven finish that speaks to its Mediterranean origins.

Vinification Highlights
Grapes are hand-harvested in the cool early hours to preserve aromatic freshness. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel to retain fruit purity, and partly in oak barrels to add complexity and depth. A short period of maturation on fine lees enhances body and texture, while bâtonnage (lees stirring) brings a subtle creaminess to the palate. The result is a Chardonnay that is both rich and structured, yet lively and elegant — a harmonious expression of Sicilian craftsmanship.
