Welcome to Divino!

We’re all about making great wine easy to enjoy whether you’re uncorking something special for a Friday night or stocking up on everyday favourites. Before you get sipping, we’ve got a few important things to cover.

Yes, it’s the fine print, but we’ve done our best to keep it clear, fair, and (almost) enjoyable to read. By shopping with us, you agree to the terms below. If anything’s unclear, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re real people and happy to help!

1. Buying Wine Legally – Age Matters

At Divino, we play by the rules and the law is very clear:

• You must be 18 years or older to buy alcohol from us.

• By placing an order, you’re confirming that both you and the person receiving the wine are 18 or older.

• It’s illegal to buy alcohol if you’re under 18, even as a gift. It’s also illegal to lie about your age. Breaching this can result in a fine of up to $2,000 under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

• If we believe an order breaches alcohol sale laws, we may cancel or delay it.

2. Delivery Info

We deliver all over Aotearoa using trusted courier partners, Monday to Friday.

• If you’re not home, the courier will leave your parcel at your property (or follow any delivery instructions you’ve provided).

• Want it left somewhere safe? Pop your preferences in the “Delivery Instructions” at checkout. Just keep in mind the risk passes to you once the wine is dropped off. You can select the option to sign for deliveries if you wish unless you are in a rural delivery area.

3. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are in NZD and include GST.

• We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Google Pay, and Account2Account bank transfers.

4. Returns & Refunds

We stand by our wine and our service. If something’s gone wrong, we’ll make it right.

• If your wine is damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery, with a photo of the issue. We’ll replace it or refund you, your choice.

• If your wine is corked or faulty, let us know within 30 days, and we’ll sort it out. We may arrange to collect unopened bottles for a refund.

• If your parcel hasn’t shown up please tell us within 7 days of dispatch.

• If you’re in a rural area, returns may need to be dropped off at your local courier agent — pickup services may not be available there.

5. Out of Stock? No Problem

If something you ordered is out of stock, we’ll contact you right away with options:

• A refund,

• A suggested alternative,

• Or the chance to wait for it to come back in stock.

6. Insurance & Risk

All orders are insured during delivery. Once the courier has delivered the goods  the responsibility for them passes to you.

7. Privacy & Security

Your personal info is safe with us.

• We’ll never sell or share your details with third parties.

• We use Windcave, a secure, PCI DSS compliant gateway to process payments.

• Your card details are never stored on our system.

• SSL encryption keeps your data secure throughout the transaction process.

8. Website Use & Content

• All the content on this site (text, images, logos, etc.) is either owned by Divino or used with permission.

• You’re welcome to view and print it for personal use, but please don’t copy, sell, or use it commercially without our okay.

• We try to keep all info current and accurate, but mistakes happen. Let us know if you spot one!

Links to other sites are just for convenience, we don’t control or necessarily endorse what’s on them.

9. Liability & Legal Stuff

We’re here to help you discover great wine, not to bore you with legal jargon. But just so you know:

• We’re not liable for any indirect or consequential loss resulting from your use of this site or your wine purchase.

• If you’re not happy with something, get in touch — we’ll always try to sort things out.

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by New Zealand law.
