One of our most popular Salento reds, this Boccantino blend brings together Primitivo and Susumaniello for a wine that's dark ruby with violet tones and a nose full of dark fruit, plum and a touch of black pepper. On the palate it's warm and intense, with real depth and concentration.
Grapes are hand-picked in late September, then part of the wine is aged in stainless steel and part in large oak barrels before three months of bottle ageing rounds everything out.
Tasting notes: A complex, layered bouquet of red fruit and spice, leading into a warm, intense palate with plenty of character.
Food pairing: Delicious alongside hearty pasta dishes, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
