Made from 100% Grillo and carefully vinified in stainless steel to preserve its vibrant fruit character, this is a wine that celebrates simplicity done exceptionally well.

Grillo is one of Sicily’s most important native grape varieties. Created in the late 19th century by crossing Catarratto and Moscato d’Alessandria, it was traditionally used in the production of Marsala. In recent decades, however, Sicilian winemakers have rediscovered its potential as a dry table wine, prized for its bright citrus notes, refreshing acidity, and aromatic appeal. Today, Grillo has become a flagship variety of modern Sicilian winemaking.

The grapes for this wine come from the rolling hills of Monreale, near Palermo, where the variety has adapted beautifully to the warm climate and well-balanced soils. The result is a lively and expressive white wine with aromas of citrus, green apple, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is fresh, crisp, and gently savoury, finishing with excellent drinkability and a lingering freshness.

Produced by the renowned Tasca d'Almerita family, one of Sicily’s most respected wine dynasties, this wine reflects nearly 200 years of winemaking heritage. The Tasca family has been cultivating vineyards across Sicily for eight generations, combining a deep respect for tradition with a commitment to sustainability and innovation. Their stewardship of the Sallier de La Tour estate began in 2008, bringing new energy and vision to this historic Monreale property.
